Earth’s Song
O Earth, how beautiful, how fair
The hands that sewed each lair
That dresses you in fields of green
And seas of blue and aquamarine;
O how beautiful were you arrayed
With brilliant stars at night displayed;
And with the glorious rising of the sun
That steals a breath when looked upon!
O Earth, how delicate, how sweet
The heart giving you the treat
Of little feathered composers who sing
The cheerful merry melodies of Spring.
Thanks for the trees, the flowers, the birth
And the natural scent of wet raw earth!
But most of all for the biggest plus:
O Earth, you were given unto us.
